Black Lake Lawn & Snow

About Black Lake Lawn & Snow

When a December snowfall drifts down over Saint Bonifacius in the dark, the Dakota Rail Trail becomes a quiet white ribbon running through town, and the hills toward the western bays of Lake Minnetonka go soft and blue. By morning, though, the driveways need to work. Black Lake Lawn & Snow clears Saint Bonifacius drives and walks once the flakes stop, so cars can back out and neighbors can get where they are going. A freshly opened drive edged against new snow is a bright, satisfying sight on a small-town street at the western edge of the metro. In that early hour, with the trail still unbroken and the town only beginning to stir, a drive cleared by Black Lake stands out clean against the white.
