Out on Rosemount's eastern edge, the Pine Bend bluffs drop away toward the Mississippi, and the oaks up top have been leaning into river wind for longer than anyone can say. Evergreen Landscapes works the town that stretches back from that high ground — mowing and tending lawns through the growing months, plowing snow when the river valley funnels winter up over the bluff. Summers here are all long light and fast-growing grass; winters arrive hard and stay. So the trucks carry mower decks in July and plow blades in January, and the driveways they clear are down to blacktop while the sky is still dark. It is a landscape of extremes, and the work answers both ends of it.
