About Mattila Properties LLC

East of Rice Lake the Cloquet River loops through spruce and tamarack toward Island Lake, and the properties along that water are half yard and half woods. Mattila Properties LLC mows and trims that mix — open turf where there is open turf, and tidy edges where the lawn gives up to brush and shoreline. August is the fullest month for it: warm, green, the water glinting low, and grass that still wants cutting every week. The work is mowing, string trimming, edging, and the seasonal cleanups that keep needles and leaves from smothering the turf. A yard that meets the northwoods cleanly is a real thing to look at, and it does not happen on its own.
