Lawncare

About Lawncare

Down at the levee the freight trains still shoulder past the old Red Wing depot, and the sound carries up the hill to whatever yard is being worked that morning. Lawncare keeps two calendars in one town: the long green stretch from the April thaw to October frost, and the short dark one after. Summer means cutting on a rhythm, edging along the sidewalks, trimming out fence lines and tree bases, then taking the clippings away. Winter means the plow and the shovel — driveways, walks, and the ridge the city plow leaves across the apron. Same properties, same eye for the edge, just a different machine under the hand.
