About Minnesota Landscaping & Hbtt

Late June in Pine River, the light hangs on past nine and Norway Lake goes the color of poured pewter. Minnesota Landscaping & Hbtt is often still working then, finishing the last lawn of the day while the cool comes up out of the ferns. Mowing, trimming and edging, cleanups in spring and again in fall — the ordinary rounds that keep a north-woods yard from quietly returning to woods. There is a particular pleasure in a shoreline lot cut tight to the slope, the grass ending exactly where the sand begins. The truck pulls out, and the lawn holds its stripes well into the dark.
