Elsner Lawns

About Elsner Lawns

Park Rapids parks down the middle of Main Avenue, a street wide enough to hold two rows of cars right in the center, and on a July afternoon the whole town moves at that unhurried pace. Elsner Lawns keeps to the mowing schedule anyway, because grass in Hubbard County does not slow down for August. Yards get cut, trimmed around posts and playsets, and edged where the drive meets the turf. The cleanups come at both ends of the season — once when the snow lets go, once when the maples do. A lawn cut in even stripes on a hot afternoon is a plain, good-looking thing.
