About Wolff and Sons, Inc.

August in Owatonna means fair week — the Steele County Free Fair filling the grounds with midway lights and the smell of cut grass — and Wolff and Sons, Inc. knows both ends of the year that surround it. Through the growing season they keep lawns mowed and tidy while the town is out living its summer. Then comes the night the first real storm arrives off the plains, wet flakes turning to hard snow under the sodium glow of the streetlamps, and the trucks roll out. By morning the driveways they tend are down to bare concrete, banks squared off, sidewalks safe for boots and paper carriers. Grass in the warm months, steel in the cold ones — the calendar turns, and the work simply changes shape.
