Green Grass Pros

About Green Grass Pros

For one week every August, the Steele County Free Fair turns Owatonna into the busiest small town in Minnesota, and every lawn in the neighborhood becomes a parking lot, a picnic ground, or a shortcut. Green Grass Pros keeps yards ready for that kind of company — mowed tight, trimmed clean, tough enough to take the traffic and green up again by Labor Day. The rest of the summer is the long rehearsal: steady cuts, straight lines, edges that hold. Grass in this climate wants to grow; the craft is in making it grow even. By the time the midway lights come on across town, the lawns on the route there are part of the show.
