About Midstate Landscaping & Excavating

Oak Park Heights stands on the bluff above the St. Croix, close enough to the river that fog climbs the hill on cold mornings and the crossing hangs out over the valley like a drawn line. Grades here are steep, and a driveway running down toward the water is an entirely different problem in February than a flat one. Midstate Landscaping & Excavating plows, clears lots and manages ice on those slopes, where the freeze-thaw coming off the river glazes everything overnight. Storms roll up the valley from the southwest and land on Stillwater and Oak Park Heights in the same hour, which leaves very little room to start late. Getting a hill down to bare pavement before the first car tries it is work almost nobody notices, and that is exactly the measure of it.
