Snow Authority

About Snow Authority

Snow arrives in Oak Park Heights up the St. Croix valley, and it comes with wind behind it, packing the driveways that tip down toward the river. Snow Authority plows those drives and lots in the dark hours, so the first cars out to Highway 36 meet clean pavement instead of ruts. Bluff grades do not forgive slush — a lane taken down to the surface and treated at the steep part is the difference between an ordinary Tuesday and one nobody enjoys. Walks get shoveled to the concrete, corners squared, banks set where they won't blind a driver backing out. After a storm, with the river steaming and the bridge lights still burning, a finished driveway is a good thing to stand and look at.
