About Schwartz Co

By late November the sandhill cranes have cleared out of the Oak Grove wetlands and the bur oaks are still gripping their rust-brown leaves, rattling in the wind, refusing to quit. That rattle is the signal. Schwartz Co has the trucks ready for it — plowing driveways and lanes, clearing walks and steps, laying down salt and sand when a midwinter thaw glazes everything over by dark. Anoka County winters are long and they do not apologize, so the work is coming back to the same drives again and again into March. A driveway opened on a black morning decides how the whole day goes, and there is no arguing with that.
