About Nybeck's

New Brighton took its name from a stockyard town in Massachusetts, and it still throws a party every August — Stockyard Days — to remember when cattle paid the bills. Nybeck's works the same streets in a quieter register, mowing lawns through the fair-weather months and clearing snow when the parade route disappears under white. It is unhurried, local work: the yard cut before the festival weekend, the driveway open before the early shift. Towns run on outfits like this, the ones that just keep showing up.
