About Mack Outdoor Solutions

February arrives down Highway 12 with a north wind behind it, and by the time it reaches Orono's shore roads it has drifted shut every driveway that runs toward the water. Mack Outdoor Solutions is out in the dark for that — plowing the long lake drives, clearing steps and walks all the way to the door, then salting the shaded elbows where ice refuses to let go. Come May those same drives get a different kind of attention: mowing, trimming, and the turf edges recut where the winter's sand pushed in. It is an unfussy sort of pride — the car gets out at six in the morning, and by July the yard looks tended from the road. Orono wears four different faces a year, and the truck is loaded for all of them.
