About BSS Outdoor Services

Winter arrives at Cooks Bay all at once: one night the water is dark, the next it is a white field with ice houses standing out on it. BSS Outdoor Services works the streets above Surfside Park in Mound, where driveways tip down toward the shoreline and a plow has to know exactly where the pavement ends. The trucks are out long before the first car turns onto Shoreline Drive, and the payoff is a clean black lane at sunrise with the banks cut square on both sides. Come May those same lots green up fast and the mowers follow — grass cut even, edges drawn tight along the walks, clippings swept off the concrete. Snow removal and lawn care, one bay town, twelve months of it.
