About Mayers Excavating Inc

Melrose sits where the Sauk River bends through Stearns County dairy country, its church spires visible from Interstate 94 long before the rest of town comes into view. After a heavy snowfall those spires are the first thing to catch the morning light, and the streets below are the last thing anyone wants to wait on. Mayers Excavating Inc puts its machines to work on snow removal in Melrose, pushing aside what the storm left so drives, lots and lanes open up again. A good clearing has a shape to it: wide turns, windrows set well off the edges, asphalt dark against the white. When the milk trucks and the commuters head out, the way is open.
