About R K Construction Services Inc

Marcell lies deep in the Chippewa National Forest along the Edge of the Wilderness Scenic Byway, where Highway 38 threads between red pines, bogs and a scatter of quiet lakes. Winter comes early this far north and stays long, heaping snow in the blue shadows beneath the pines. R K Construction Services Inc, a construction outfit, takes on snow removal here, opening the driveways and lanes that link homes and cabins to the highway. After a big Northwoods storm, a lane carved open through the woods is a thing to be proud of, the banks shoulder-high and the morning air crackling with cold. Out here, that open lane is where every winter day starts.
