About Maple River Outdoors

In April the Maple River runs high and brown through the bottoms east of town, and the fog off it sits in the low fields until the sun burns through around nine. Maple River Outdoors starts its year about then, when the frost has gone out and the grass under last fall's mat turns green almost overnight. The work is lawn care straight through: mowing to a schedule a yard can rely on, trimming close along fences and posts, edging drives and walks, and hauling off the thatch, sticks and leaf litter that winter left behind. By June the mowing lines run straight across a yard that looked hopeless in March. Around Mapleton, that turn is the best thing about the whole year.
