About Summit Power Sweeping, LLC

When a northwest wind comes off the prairie above Mankato, the snow does not stay where it fell — it moves, ropes across the open lots, and banks hard against anything standing still. Summit Power Sweeping, LLC meets that weather on its own terms, clearing the wide paved spaces where the town does its business so that morning can actually begin. There is a rough poetry in a big lot at 5 a.m., headlights sweeping the drifts, the machine working row by row until the asphalt shows through like a tide going out. By the time the first cars arrive off Highway 22, the storm might as well never have happened. That vanishing act, performed in the dark and the cold, is the whole trade.
