Mankato Landscapers

About Mankato Landscapers

The Dakota name for this place, Mahkato, points to the blue-green earth of the riverbanks — color was in the town's name before the town was here. Mankato Landscapers works in that original palette. Summer is for the green: lawns mowed and shaped, yards brought along until they hold their color deep into fall. Winter is for the white, which the valley does just as thoroughly, and the crew plows and clears through all of it. A company that takes the city's own name signs up to work in the city's own colors — both of them, all year.
