Snow Doctor

About Snow Doctor

Snow Doctor makes house calls in the dark. When a storm slides up the Mississippi valley at night and buries Lilydale, the steep driveways that climb from the river flats up the bluff turn treacherous first, and a slope like that is no place for guesswork. Snow Doctor treats each one with the right remedy: plowing the grade open, clearing the turnarounds, pushing banks away from the edges so the melt can drain. Down in the regional park the old brickyard ruins vanish under a clean white sheet, while up on the bluff the drives come back to life one by one. It is a welcome diagnosis to deliver at daybreak: everything clear, everyone free to get on with the day.
