Triple Cut Cousins

About Triple Cut Cousins

By late August the ridge above Lewiston is all soybean going gold, and around seven the light comes in low and level across it. That is the hour when a mown lawn shows everything — every line in the cut, every edge along a driveway, every corner that got hurried. Triple Cut Cousins works the yards in and around town with mower, trimmer and edger, and hauls the leaf load off when the bluffs finally turn. Grass here grows on limestone and thin topsoil, so it wants cutting often and never scalped. Getting that balance right, week after week, is the whole craft of it.
