Zubke Excavating

About Zubke Excavating

March in Laporte can deliver a storm that is all weight and no fluff, wet snow that bows the young firs along the town's wooded edges and packs like mortar on a driveway. Zubke Excavating meets that heavy late-season snow with the muscle of a crew used to moving dirt by the bucketful. Banks get pushed back before they can freeze into walls, and drives are opened while the snow is still willing to move. By afternoon the sun feels warm on the face, the eaves are dripping, and a cleared drive steams faintly where the dark surface shows through. It is the last hard push of a long north-country winter, done right so spring can find the ground.
