About Schilling Landscaping

Early on a July morning, Kabekona Lake lies flat as poured glass near Laporte, and a loon's call carries farther than seems possible. Schilling Landscaping works in this lake country, where yards slope down through pine and birch toward the water and every property has its own pattern of sun and shade. Shaping a landscape here means working with the woods rather than against them, letting grass fill the sunny ground and giving each edge a deliberate line. A mowed lawn under tall pines, with the lake winking through the trunks, is about as fine as a summer place gets. Laporte is a tiny town, and the care in its yards shows plainly from the dock.
