About Professional Turf, Inc.

September mornings in Lakeville come up cool and gray-blue, with mist lifting off the low ground at Ritter Farm Park and the woods along its trails just beginning to turn. That is the stretch of the year turf remembers all winter, and Professional Turf, Inc. tends lawns through it with the patience grass asks for. The work is all about the surface underfoot: an even height, a clean margin at the curb, a dense mat that shrugs off the wear of August. Beyond the old storefronts on Holyoke Avenue, the city has filled in with cul-de-sacs and open yards, and each one is a small field worth getting right. When frost first silvers the blades, a lawn tended this way goes into the cold looking ready for it.
