About Kittson Flats

Lake Bronson sits beside a reservoir on the South Branch of the Two Rivers, dammed to hold water through the drought of the 1930s. Kittson Flats takes its name from the broad, level county around it, and its work is lawn care. In September, when Canada geese gather on the water and the wheat stubble glows tawny, yards are getting their last good mows of the year. Grass cut neat and short heading into fall stands up well to the early snow that can come this far north. It is unhurried work in a place that knows how to wait for spring, and the yard greets the thaw ready to grow.
