Woodys Tree Service

About Woodys Tree Service

In May the bluffs above La Crescent turn white with apple blossom, and the Mississippi lies below in its braid of channels and islands like something poured out. Living under bluffs means living with big trees on steep ground — silver maple down in the bottoms, oak and walnut climbing the coulee sides. Woodys Tree Service works both worlds: pruning young shade trees into good habits, trimming the limbs hanging over a coulee-road driveway, removing what has died standing above a house. River-valley storms funnel hard between the bluffs, and the cleanup afterward is about getting the lane passable and the yard whole again. There is a particular pleasure in finishing on a bluff-side lot late in the day, the valley going gold and every cut looking like it belongs.
