Kyle's Lawn Service

About Kyle's Lawn Service

A branch of the Zumbro slips past the edge of Kasson, low and slow in August, iced over and half-buried by January. Kyle's Lawn Service works both of those Kassons — mowing, trimming and cleanups while the valley is green, then plowing and shoveling once the fields go bare and the wind comes downhill with nothing to slow it. Storms in this corner of the state can arrive wet and heavy, and a driveway left too long sets up like stone, so the trick is timing and going back when it needs going back. There is real satisfaction in an opened drive at daybreak, the pile squared off, the walk taken clean to the step. In July that same satisfaction looks like straight lines and a sharp edge.
