Classic Trees

About Classic Trees

The hills around Jordan wear old oaks, and in October those wooded slopes turn copper and rust all at once, like the whole valley decided together. Classic Trees works the ground beneath that canopy — the lawns that live in the company of big trees, shaded in summer, buried in leaves come fall. Grass under mature shade asks for a different kind of attention, and giving it that attention is the whole pleasure of the work. Mowing that respects the roots, cleanups that keep the leaf-fall from smothering the turf, a yard that looks composed under limbs a century in the making. The reward comes on a clear autumn afternoon: color overhead, clean green underfoot. Few sights in Scott County beat it.
