About Iron Sights Land Management

Out past the last streetlight the fields open up, and in Isanti County that means the wind gets a running start. Iron Sights Land Management works the drifted end of winter — the long farm lanes that fill back in an hour after they are opened, the approaches where snow curls over a fence line and sets into a hard ridge. Plowing here is partly a question of where you put it: stacked downwind, off the sightlines, clear of where the next storm will want to land. There is a real pleasure in coming back down a lane you just cut and finding it still holding. When a place is this open to the sky, keeping it passable is the whole of the job.
