About River Heights Outdoor Solutions

Where Inver Grove Heights meets the Mississippi, the old Rock Island Swing Bridge reaches out over the water and the streets climb in terraces toward the heights the town is named for. River Heights Outdoor Solutions works that climb. In summer it is lawn care on ground that rarely sits flat — mowing slopes, trimming along retaining walls, keeping the green even from the river road on up. In winter it is snow, which the climbing streets hold stubbornly, so driveways and walks get cleared thoroughly on the first pass. From the right yard you can watch barge lights move on the water while the mower cools; from the same yard in January, the whole valley is white. Both views come with upkeep, and that upkeep is the work.
