Black Bull Landscapes

About Black Bull Landscapes

A clipper crosses the Dakotas in the afternoon and reaches Inver Grove Heights after supper, fast and dry, laying down four inches while the ten o'clock news is still on. That is Black Bull Landscapes' hour. The trucks roll while the flakes are still falling, blades down along the climbs off Cahill Avenue, where the grade turns a skiff of powder into something a sedan can't argue with. By the time the wind quits, the driveways are black again and the banks are pushed wide enough to survive the next round. Snow here isn't an event; it's a schedule, and the work is meeting it every time.
