Ground Control Services

About Ground Control Services

At two in the morning during a Hutchinson snowfall, the streetlights show every flake and the parking lots fill up white and silent. That is when Ground Control Services is out — blades down, working the lots and drives clean so the town wakes to a job already finished. There is a rhythm to plowing at night: the pass, the pile, the backup lights on fresh snow, block after quiet block. When the thaw comes and the nights go soft, the schedule flips to daylight and the mowers take over, keeping lawns cut and neat through the green half of the year. The hours change with the seasons; the standard of the work does not.
