About Lakes Outdoor Services

Nearly a quarter of Holmesville Township is water, and by January its lakes have hardened into wide white plains, with homes tucked among the trees along the shorelines. The roads that reach those shores tend to be narrow and winding and shaded by pines, so snow lingers there long after the main roads are open. Lakes Outdoor Services handles snow removal in Holmesville, plowing driveways and clearing the way in so homes along the water stay reachable through the deep part of winter. Good work here looks like a ribbon of cleared drive curving down through the trees toward the ice, wide enough for a truck and glittering in the hard, bright cold. On a still morning when the lake booms as its ice shifts, that open drive is the warmest thing in sight.
