McNeil Excavating

About McNeil Excavating

Highway 169 carries winter traffic north through Hill City toward the Iron Range, and on a December morning before first light the headlights pass through town in slow, steady pairs. Off that road, side streets and driveways wait under whatever the night put down, sometimes a few inches, sometimes a foot of north-woods powder. McNeil Excavating does snow removal in Hill City, using heavy equipment to plow out driveways and lots and stack the snow where it won't drift back. It's work you can measure: an open run from garage door to road, a turnaround big enough for a truck and trailer, piles pushed far enough back to see past. When the sky pinks up behind the spruce, a McNeil-cleared yard is ready for the day.
