Lange Nursery & Landscaping

About Lange Nursery & Landscaping

Spring reaches northern Aitkin County in stages: first the ditches run, then aspen buds blur the hillsides a pale green, then almost overnight the grass decides it's time. Lange Nursery & Landscaping, a nursery and landscaping business in Hill City, starts its lawn care in that rush, raking out the winter's matted layer, making the first cut, and shaping the edges before the growing season pulls ahead. A yard set right at the start of the year has a look all its own, the turf even and thick, the borders sharp, the lot sitting easy among the pines instead of fighting them. Through the long June days, when the sun hangs on past nine o'clock, Lange keeps that shape intact. By fall, a Hill City yard tended this way looks as though it simply grew that tidy.
