About Schnabel Inc

Hendrum sits on the floor of the old glacial Lake Agassiz basin, between the Red River of the North and the Wild Rice River, and in January that level ground gives the wind nothing to lean against. Snow here doesn't so much fall as travel, skating across miles of open field and piling into ridges wherever a garage or a fence line interrupts its run. Schnabel Inc does snow removal in Hendrum, pushing those drifts back so a driveway reads as a driveway again and Highway 75 is a short, clear roll away. There is a particular satisfaction in a valley morning after the plow has passed: the sky enormous and pale, the edges clean as a fresh furrow, the cold air finally still. That's the morning Schnabel works toward, lot by lot across town.
