About Fas-cut Lawn & Snow Services LLC

Winter comes to Hastings by water first: steam lifting off the Mississippi above Lock and Dam No. 2 while the streets are still dark and the barge lights sit motionless in the channel. Fas-cut Lawn & Snow Services LLC is awake in that hour, running plow routes across Dakota County driveways and lots before the first commuter turns a key. The work is snow, straight through — plowing, shoveling walks and steps, pushing piles back so a parking lot keeps its corners, and salting an icy apron before anyone has to test it. The end of a route has its own reward: the last drive cut clean to the pavement, the berm the city truck left taken away. By the time the sun finds the bluffs on the Wisconsin side, the day in Hastings can simply begin.
