About Ecosnow Services
A nor'easter reaches North Rochester as a hush first — the pines take the wind, and then the snow comes sideways through the headlights. Ecosnow Services runs through the middle of it, plowing driveways, cutting paths to the door and the woodpile, opening turnarounds wide enough to be useful, spreading sand and salt on the slick spots. Storms out here rarely stop politely, so the route gets run twice, sometimes three times. When the sky finally clears hard and blue over the treeline, the drives are open and the banks are pushed back where they belong. That is what the night was for.
