Olson Excavating

About Olson Excavating

An excavator reads ground for a living, and in Hartland that ground freezes hard by December and holds until spring. That is when Olson Excavating turns its attention to whatever falls onto it. Snow on the Freeborn County prairie rarely comes down politely; wind off the open fields packs it into stiff ridges across drives and yards overnight. Olson pushes those ridges aside and opens a wide, clean passage where a wall of white stood the evening before. At sunrise, with the cold still biting and the stubble fields blushing pink, a cleared yard is worth stopping to admire.
