About Halvorson Tree Service LLC

Lake Hanska reaches long and narrow just southwest of town, and fittingly so: hanska is a Dakota word for long. Norwegian settlers farmed this corner of Brown County, and Hanska still looks out over wide fields with that ribbon of water close by. Halvorson Tree Service works this ground in summer and winter alike, plowing and clearing snow when winter locks the lake in ice, then mowing and tending lawns once the shoreline greens again. A tree service sees how a property fits together, canopy down to grass, and that eye shows in a yard left neat and open. On a still January morning, a drive scraped clean beneath frosted branches is its own kind of handsome.
