That Grass Guy

About That Grass Guy

Ask around Ham Lake in high July and somebody will point down the road: that's his work, the yard with the stripes. That Grass Guy is exactly what the name says — a lawn person, wholly and cheerfully, out in the sprinkler-mist mornings and the cicada afternoons making grass look intentional. The craft is in the details this town notices: a mow line held straight across a long front yard, an edge kept sharp where turf meets the driveway, clippings gone before anyone's shoes find them. Summer in Minnesota is a short argument, and a great lawn is how a house wins it. In Ham Lake, when the grass looks that good, people know who to name.
