About Schwieters Land Services

The ground around Ham Lake was laid down by glaciers in long sweeps of sand and pine, and Schwieters Land Services works it the way land like this asks to be worked — broadly, steadily, with respect for the acreage. Wide yards get mowed in patient passes under a big open sky; edges get held where turf gives way to woods and field. This is country where properties are measured in acres rather than feet, and the crew is built for that scale. In winter, the same reach matters even more: long private drives off the section roads, plowed through so the distance between house and highway never becomes a problem. The land is generous here, and tending it well is the whole job.
