About Mickman Brothers - Landscaping Design Center Minneapolis/St. Paul

Ham Lake takes its name from a lake within its borders, one said to be shaped like a ham. The city spreads across the Anoka Sand Plain, where sandy ground swallows a spring rain almost as fast as it falls, and grass needs a knowing hand to hold its color. Mickman Brothers runs a landscaping design center here, and its lawn care starts from that design sense: proportion, clean lines, a yard that looks considered from the street. In late May, when mist rises from the lake at daybreak and the oaks finally leaf out, a lawn cut to a level height feels like part of a plan. Land that looks intended is the whole reward.
