MRO Multi-Service

About MRO Multi-Service

Grey Cloud Island rests in the Mississippi below St. Paul, wrapped in river channels, with cottonwoods leaning over the water and eagles patrolling the backwaters. In late summer the morning fog lifts slowly off the river, and that is the hour MRO Multi-Service starts in on the township's lawns: mowing, trimming, holding the grass in check against the push of river-bottom growth. Island ground has a lushness all its own; give a yard two weeks and it starts going wild. The craft lies in bringing it back to clean, even order without losing the feel of the place. Stand in a fresh-cut yard on Grey Cloud with the river glinting through the trees, and the whole island seems to breathe out.
