About Greener Pastures Construction

The ground around Grand Rapids was left behind by glaciers — sand here, clay there, a boulder wherever you least want one — and Greener Pastures Construction has made a working life out of coaxing lawn from it. South of town the land rolls toward the Sugar Hills, and getting grass to take hold on those slopes is equal parts patience and know-how. The crew grades, seeds, and tends until thin patches thicken into real turf that can stand up to a northern year. There is a plain pleasure in watching a rough yard turn soft and green over a single season. Up here, a good lawn is not decoration; it is a small victory over the geology.
