About Choice Concrete-Taskmaster Service

Five in the morning in January, twenty below, and the pines along the highway stand so still they look painted. Choice Concrete-Taskmaster Service is out in it, clearing driveways and business approaches so Grand Rapids can get where it's going by seven. A heavy snow here comes in wet and the temperature drops behind it, welding whatever's left to the pavement — so the pass gets made early, and the sand or salt goes down before a melt has the chance to turn to glass. Shovel work at the steps and around the door matters as much as the big pushes; that's where people actually walk. When the sky finally lightens and the last lot is scraped down to gray, the truck heads home past a town already moving.
