About Casper Construction Inc

In Grand Rapids the Mississippi is still a young river, narrow enough to freeze quiet, and the cold that follows a clear night settles into every driveway in town. Casper Construction Inc runs the plow through that cold — pushing back the ridge the county truck leaves at the apron, opening lots before the first cars turn in, treating the slick spots where a lot drains and refreezes. Storms up here arrive off the west and keep coming for a day and a half, so the job gets measured in passes, not in one clean sweep. Nothing tells you more about a morning than the look back at black pavement with the banks squared off at the edges. That's the aim every time the sky goes that particular gray over Pokegama.
