About Skildum&Company LLC

Before first light in a Grand Marais winter, Artist's Point is just a black shape against a blacker lake, and the only color in town is the amber of a plow truck's beacon. Skildum&Company LLC runs in that hour, clearing driveways and lots while the village is still a scatter of porch lights. By the time the bakery smell drifts up the street and the sky over Superior goes rose and steel, the morning's snow has already been moved. That's the shape of the job: done early, done quietly, and noticed mostly in the ease of everyone else's day. Winter on the Shore is long, but it is also beautiful at five in the morning — and somebody gets to see it every storm.
