About NV Services

Gnesen keeps its yards the way the north woods allow them — clearings won from birch and balsam, edged by granite that will not move. NV Services mows those clearings, trims the corners a wide deck can't reach, and rakes the season's litter back off the grass each spring and fall. On long June evenings up here the light hangs past nine o'clock, and a lawn cut in that hour holds its stripes the way still water holds the sky. Gravel-road places, cabins off Island Lake, homes along the ridge toward Duluth — each one gets the same care at the line where lawn gives way to woods. It is plain work, and the reward is plain too: a yard that looks tended from the road.
