JC's Seasonal

About JC's Seasonal

June evenings in Gervais refuse to end, the light lingering until nearly ten and sliding low and sideways over the field roads and shelterbelts of this French-named township in Minnesota's far northwest. JC's Seasonal makes the most of that generous light, tending lawns through a growing season that arrives late and leaves early this far north. Everything runs on rhythm: mowing that keeps a yard composed while the grass races through June, trimming snug against foundations and fence posts, clippings cleared off the walks before the mosquitoes find you. Every green week counts double up here, so none of them should go to waste. A just-mowed lawn glowing amber in that slanting late light is reason enough to love a northern summer.
